MICA Jagriti Start-up Rural Research at SHELA village

Jagriti, Social service of MICA, started off a new initiative to understand the problems of rural people through a research campaign conducted at Shela village. The research will provide the insights about general problems at the village and the people's take on it. Team Jagriti will later use this report to come up with the most optimal solutions for them and will also try to provide them monetary support if required to overcome those problems. A team of volunteers from MICA are visiting the village and are interviewing the people on regular basis who are segmented on the basis of their gender and age. The questionnaire used by the volunteers for interviewing incorporate questions which provide a better understanding on numerous issues like education, girl child, income level, medical facilities, sanitation facilities, their awareness on loans facilities and banking service available to them by the government etc. The rural research campaign is a totally new initiative for MICA students and will hopefully provide solution to the people of Shela village in an apt manner which will make their life better and easier.
